NDC Implementation Capacity Assessments
in the Pacific Region
Future Earth conducted original research and analysis for a national Capacity Assessment of the Tile Til Eo Climate Committee to implement the Marshall Islands NDC and worked across government and non-governmental organisations to produce a Five-year Capacity Building Strategy under the NDC Partnership - UNDP funded through the European Commission by the Governments of Germany and Spain.

Outreach Policy Strategy Financing
To support implementation of the updated NDC and to develop key policies, the Department of Environment, Government of Antigua and Barbuda undertook a series of detailed technical analysis, with support from Future Earth Ltd among others under the NDC Partnership "Climate Action Enhancement Package" (CAEP). These included a Policy Guide to Inclusive Investment Opportunities in Renewable Energy in Antigua and Barbuda 2020-2025 with associated Strategy and Work plan, and an Affordability and Accessibility of Renewable Energy Household Survey. This process helped the country to identify opportunities and strategies for cost reduction while managing transitional risk as well as understanding the role of men, women, and youth in a series of detailed technical and policy analysis. Global Green Growth Institute - Guyana Readiness Project
Future Earth Ltd designed and developed a national sustainable financing mechanism, embedded in existing local structures, to initiate the utility scale renewable energy market to rapidly accelerate the implementation of co-financed projects to shrink carbon emissions in the power sector, the country’s largest contributor of GHGs.
Future Earth worked with GGGI and the Government of Guyana on two financing strands for country-wide utility scale renewable energy generation. We developed a national sustainable financing mechanism, embedded in existing local structures, to initiate the utility scale renewable energy market and accelerate the implementation of co-financed projects. A major part of the project was to engage the private sector and secure investment EOIs. |

Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT)
Future Earth is on the expert roster for the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (PACT) providing in-country or remote Technical Assistance, capacity building and skills-transfer for public, private and civil society institutions to accelerate emission reductions and implement NDCs. Our work is funded by UK PACT Country Programmes or Green Recovery Challenge Fund just topped up with £200m until 2025. |
